The introverted musician Mr. Bonsch doesn't get on very well with his neighbor Mrs. Kobald, whose pride and joy are her roses. He has always ignored her threatening letters about his unkempt lawn.
But one evening she stands before him, pale and petrified. Her husband must have forgotten her birthday and now he lies dead at the foot of the stairs. He should actually call the police, but the distraught Mrs. Kobald begins to talk about her unhappy marriage. Perhaps this fall could be made to look like an accident after all? Mr. Bonsch is on top form and his imagination seems almost limitless.
A comedy with plenty of black humor in which two lonely people slowly come closer together.
