The little yellow house

World premiere based on the children's book by Leo Hoffmann for everyone aged 5 and over

The little yellow house has had enough: the people who live in it no longer see how special it is! So he leaves his family and sets off in search of a better home. He bravely wanders into the forest. There she finds a wonderful clearing and lots of animal friends, but the place is not ideal. So the little yellow house moves to the bottom of the lake. But at some point it gets too wet. Even the desert has its pitfalls... During his search, the little yellow house learns to set boundaries, negotiate compromises and go his own way.

After "Oh, what a Lovely Afternoon!", which premiered at the Akademietheater in Munich in 2004, "Das kleine gelbe Haus" is the second play for young audiences to be staged by author Leo Hoffmann and director Annette Geller. Leo Hoffmann's children's book "Das kleine gelbe Haus" was illustrated by Claudia Burmeister. It was published by Verlag freies Geistesleben in Stuttgart and was nominated for the Paul Maar Prize in 2022. It can be purchased for €16 in the foyer of the Schwere Reiter or after the performances in the Studio.

After each performance, the actresses and the director offer a discussion with the audience. The author will be available to answer questions on July 01, 03 and 04.
