Almost all the great actors have dared to tackle this text at the zenith of their careers: Fritz Kortner and Ulrich Wildgruber are unforgotten. And most recently in Hamburg: Otto Sander almost 20 years ago. Now Christian Redl dares to tackle Beckett's "Krapp". A lost, exhausted and failed writer encounters his 39-year-old self in old, diary-like recordings and listens incredulously to his former life. And here he also encounters his great love again, the turning point in his life. Beckett's classic is full of autobiographical allusions, which the later Nobel Prize winner artfully puzzled over.

Christian Redl will be working on this evening together with Jim Rakete, one of the most important contemporary photographers and documentary filmmakers, with whom he would like to develop a new view of Beckett's great disillusioned man.
