In this regard, a statement from the "Taskforce-Tanzverbot" - a special unit of the Bavarian state government in cooperation with Holding AG Himmelreich:

There is something to be made clear: Dancing is embarrassing. Using the body to translate acoustic signals into physical expression makes no recognizable sense. Although created in God's image, man is simply too stupid to be forbidden to dance. There are numerous studies on the connection between stupidity and dancing, but everyday observations, such as the ability of boozers to incite others to dance, or the frequent occurrence of dance events at times when no one can be said to have an intact sense of judgment, also suggest a correlation. The widespread misconception that this circus somehow looks good - possibly even sexy, and could convince potential mating partners of the merits and abilities of the person fidgeting in the bed that they are mating shows that those who dance cannot think. None of this would be a problem if dancing didn't cause devastating economic damage as well as mental decline. The nights of dancing alone require a level of energy that cannot be found in the workplace. We cannot afford this under the current circumstances. In addition, dancers often show signs of addiction and children of dancers often become dancers themselves. So the big question is, which came first: the dance or the stupidity? The answer, as always, is God.
