In the organizer's words:

"The Talking Ship" is a very special children's event in Potsdam on the theater ship in the deep lake, which is suitable for the whole family. It combines an interactive ship tour for children with a radio play for children. The heroine of the radio play is "Hanna".

Hanna is "only" a roach, no angler is interested in her. And so Hanna has long been the neighbor of the old ship "Sturmvogel", which is moored at the jetty in the deep lake, without the two of them knowing each other. Lately, Hanna keeps hearing noises and sounds that get on her nerves. She listens more closely and makes astonishing discoveries.... An animal fable about the effects of climate change on the deep lake in Potsdam and the power of solidarity.

After a hands-on tour of the ship, during which paper ships are made and knots are learned, the radio play "The Talking Ship" about Hanna's discovery can be experienced in the belly of the ship. The children can make themselves comfortable on a cushion landscape and color in the animals that appear in the radio play on the coloring sheets provided while they listen.

The prominent actress and audio book narrator Cathlen Gawlich (the voice of Sandy Cheeks in "SpongeBob SquarePants" and Mama Lausemaus from "Leo Lausemaus") has given her voice to all the animals in the audio play.
