In THE SCARECROW, farmhand Keaton lives in a simple cottage in which numerous mechanical devices make life easier. SHERLOCK JR. shows Buster as a projectionist who actually wants to be a detective. When he falls asleep at the movies, he frees his lover's family from the hands of a criminal in a dream, which of course does not go off without countless entanglements.
