Davey and The Midnightsis an Americana and cosmic boogie band from Indianapolis, USA, whose sound blends traditional country, blues, and psychedelic rock. Comparisons to artists like Gram Parsons, J.J. Cale, Leon Russell, and the Grateful Dead are inevitable, and Davey Allen’s songwriting is deeply rooted in the “American Songbook.” Singer and frontman Allen spent years touring as a professional musician, including as a member of The Animals alongside Eric Burdon.
Also on board this evening from Murnau:Da Simmal. A lot has happened since their debut, “Stau in Oberau.” Bassist Hannes Fischer and drummer Phillip Kaser really get the crowd going. Rock ballads, punk-style shredding, and danceable antics—always teetering on the edge of tears. We’re able to do this because we pay very little rent to the municipality and work on a volunteer basis. We generally have three price tiers: the standard admission price, as well as a reduced price for high school students, college students, people with severe disabilities, and members of Forum Westtorhalle e. V. Above the standard price is the “music lover’s price.” This is an option for anyone who not only enjoys art and culture but can also afford it. You can choose to pay a little extra.
