De Dansers: Hush

In "Hush", De Dansers find solace in dance and music. A hand on your shoulder; a second voice that is there wherever you go; a rhythm that you nestle into as if in an embrace. Dancers and musicians find each other on the border between dance performance and pop concert. Dancers become musicians, musicians become dancers. Guitar spins drive the performers into each other's arms. Dancing bodies set the rhythm of the music. "Hush" is about attention and devotion. If you want to carry the world, it helps not to be alone.

De Dansers is an ensemble of dancers and musicians from Utrecht, led by choreographer and dancer Josephine van Rheenen and composer and musician Guy Corneille. Their "dance concerts" are organic encounters between contemporary dance and live music. With playful anarchy, they tell stories that everyone understands. De Dansers creates pieces against the feeling of immobility.
