Too romantic for the punks, too wild for the goths. Founded at the end of 2021, Los Angeles band DECEITS are bringing passion back to post-punk. Named after a track by the little-known and underrated British band The Wild Flowers, the trio has earned a cult-like following in the goth/alternative underground scene through their catchy melancholic soundscapes and energetic live performances. Not afraid to stand out from the crowd, DECEITS have made it their mission to play post-punk that isn't just cold and monotonous. Founded on a shared fondness for bands like The Cure, Human Tetris, Motorama, The Chameleons and For Against, and unafraid to draw on influences outside of the "goth" genre of music, the band consists of Kevin "Puppy" Moreno (vocals, bass guitar, keyboards), Skylar Francise (guitars) and Francisco Saenz (percussion). After releasing several well-received singles, DECEITS self-released their debut studio album "If There's No Heaven..." in November 2023. Driven by modern post-punk goth anthems such as "Drowning In An Empty Sea" and "Mi Amor, Mi Vampira", the album was well received, leading the band to tour the US, headline their own show at the prestigious El Rey Theater and receive an invitation to the Cruel World Festival.
