DEKKER (US) - Songs and Stories Tour 2025

In the organizer's words:

American singer and songwriter Brookln Dekker, better known by his surname and nickname DEKKER (and for his unique wide-brimmed hat), is heading out on some intimate solo shows, the Telling Stories Tour, in spring 2025.

Said Brookln: "Over the years I've had to find ways to connect with audiences as I've decided to cover my face and can't rely on it to convey my sincerity. I've learned to open up in new ways and have enjoyed telling stories about events surrounding the creation of certain songs and records. I'm looking forward to reinterpreting and retelling some of my songs and stories in a unique and intimate way next spring."

Brookln has been on a roll since August 2019, when we first heard his voice as Dekker. Three albums, an EP and a few hundred performances later, which is an achievement in itself given the viral years; we find Dekker gaining momentum and attention across Europe.

In early 2025, Dekker will begin releasing singles from his fourth album, due out later that year.

What you can expect from the Telling Stories Tour is a soulfully performed set of old and new songs, interspersed with anecdotes in Dekker's sensitive, personal and humorous style.

Indi(e)stinction Festival: The independent music series "Indi(e)stinction" has been held at the franz.K cultural center since its opening in 2008 and has had its own festival dedicated to it since 2016. In spring 2025, the ninth Indi(e)stinction festival will take place at franz.K in Reutlingen. Over the course of several weeks, the entire terrain of non-mainstream rock and pop music will be surveyed - just as you would browse through the independent shelf of your beloved record store and discover all kinds of music that you would have liked to classify as "Indi(e)stinction" yourself.
