Musically, DELTAWELLE's sound is reminiscent of the spirit of Neue Deutsche Welle, as if they had taken a nocturnal stroll through the subconscious - a fusion of danceable synth rhythms and shimmering melancholy. The band succeeds in combining introspective lyrics with energetic electronics, thus mastering the balancing act between melancholy and movement.

DELTAWELLE was founded in Berlin by Franz Schneeweiß and Barney Riley, who met while leading separate music projects. The rest of the ensemble joined through various collaborations. Their second album "Wir sind Staub im Kosmos" was created both in the rehearsal room in Leipzig and in the Shimmerdown Studios in Berlin and shows the band searching for new forms of expression between pop, post-punk and modern new wave aesthetics.
