Many conversations have become noticeably more tense. Political and social polarization is not only evident in public debates, but increasingly in everyday professional, voluntary and personal life. Conversations escalate more quickly; withdrawal or inner distance become the obvious reaction.

This is precisely where the "Active Listening" democracy workshop comes in. The focus is not on persuasion or changing positions, but on the ability to remain capable of acting even under tension. It examines what actually happens in controversial discussions, which goals are realistic and where boundaries are sensibly drawn. Listening is understood as an active, reflective practice that enables clarity without prematurely breaking off contact.

The workshop is designed to be practical and works with concrete situations from everyday life. It offers a safe space to try out different ways of responding and to gain orientation for difficult conversations.
