PERFORMING DEMOCRACY: Guest performance by von Kopergietery & KGbe
He is the great ruler of the underwater state, always shamelessly grabbing the last morsel and no one is allowed to contradict him: The Pale Baron is always right. He can and knows everything. What he can't stand at all are poets. They worry him deeply, because they hide all sorts of things in and between their lines, and that can be dangerous for the Pale Baron. Questions also make him uncomfortable, which is why they are strictly forbidden in his kingdom. But children ask questions, and lots of them: For example, why is the sea level rising and what does the pale baron intend to do about it? Or where and why have all the poets disappeared from one day to the next? Even the musicians Felka and Felix can't let go of these questions. They secretly tour the underground with their little revolutionary singalong show. A plea for art, poetry, friendship and freedom - in an authoritarian state that hunts down anyone who is different, asks questions and defies the dictates of usefulness.
