"The Circle" is a global company that has set itself the goal of concentrating all digital services on one platform. Highly motivated, 24-year-old Mae gets a job at the innovative company, which allows everyone to navigate the web with a single online identity. Due to the synchronization and the loss of anonymity on the Internet, transparency becomes the top priority of the global company - sharing is caring. A dangerous undertaking, as Mae increasingly realizes that "The Circle" is becoming a system of total surveillance. She has to decide: will she remain part of this totalitarian system in order to continue reaping the benefits, or will she begin to fight against it in order to preserve her individual identity?
