High up in the mountains, many children live together. Some are in the Marigold Group. They jump on the trampoline, dance, and play drums, and learn a lot about the world. The children in the Primrose Group, on the other hand, peel potatoes, wash dishes, and clean their boots. And the shepherdess makes sure everything stays that way. She decides on breaks, hairstyles, and houses. The biggest house belongs to her—that’s just how it is.
Until one child in the Marigold Group begins to wonder—why are some allowed to play while others have to work so hard? Through whispers and swapping clothes, small changes take place, almost unnoticed. And suddenly, the established order begins to shift.
Based on this delicate yet complex story, an interactive play takes shape, encouraging children to take their first steps toward a more just world.
