Many adults say: children should go to the theater. Many adults also say that children should not sit at the computer for long periods of time. That's funny, because adults themselves often sit at their computers for long periods of time.
That's why in our new production, computer technology itself becomes the star of the theater, and this is how we play it: we give you VR glasses, and then you can decide for yourself how you want to watch theater:
- You can watch normally in the theater.
- Or you can watch with VR glasses and then you're right in the middle of the action on stage.

This is how we tell you how computers really came about and about five extraordinary pioneers whose ideas have changed our (digital) world:

Because did you know that the history of information technology didn't just begin in an American garage in the 1980s, but 200 years ago at a dazzling debutante ball? Or that today we can network without cables because a great Hollywood diva once wanted to help end an even bigger war with her invention, the "frequency jump"? And that the most important inventors of information technology also fought for a fair world and against racism, sexism and queer hostility?

The Forschungstheater invites children and adults to rediscover our digital and analog world with VR glasses for everyone, state-of-the-art stage technology and even more theatrical magic.
