Black comedy
A firework of dialog full of satirical punchlines and humorous highlights. The Broadway production won three trophies at the Tony Awards, including Best Play. The movie by Roman Polanski, starring Jodie Foster and Christoph Waltz among others, was a box office hit. Now "The God of Carnage" also reigns supreme at the RNT.
Two schoolboys fight and one knocks the other's teeth out. The two pairs of parents meet up because they have to talk it out! And while the boys are already playing with each other again, the adults are at loggerheads. What begins as a reasonable exchange about the question of guilt escalates into a brutal argument in which boundaries are ruthlessly crossed. A battlefield full of abysses and bursts of laughter.
