Der Hobbit Marathon: Der Hobbit - Triple (Ext.)

Hobbit Bilbo receives an offer to accompany 13 dwarves on a dangerous mission: The lost kingdom of the dwarves, Mount Erebor, is to be reclaimed. The dangerous fire dragon Smaug has seized the subterranean realm. On the way, Bilbo meets the mysterious creature Gollum, whose long-cherished treasure - a golden ring - he can take for himself. The group has to overcome many dangers on the long and arduous journey: giant spiders, fur-changers, wizards and elves stand in their way. They make it to the seaside town of Esgaroth - from there Erebor is to be freed from the dragon's clutches. When Bilbo enters the fortress through a secret entrance, the fearsome dragon awakens. His attempt to kill Smaug fails and unleashes a horrific inferno. This forces Bilbo to make a momentous decision, which brings a newly strong arch-enemy back into play - the battle of the five armies begins...
