And on we go, to Ireland with Vinylrausch #80 and a musically rich classic, a study in minimalism and melancholy post-punk - Irish rock music past and present:

On The Boards is an outstanding album from the musically rich year of 1970, combining electric blues, acoustic folk and soaring jazz with the virtuoso guitar playing of Rory Gallagher. A diverse and unusually orchestrated album full of great songs.

Tough Love by the Irish collective The Jimmy Cake was released in 2017 and is a study in dramatic minimalism. Under the influence of post- and stoner rock, 'cosmic' music has been created that you can sink into meditatively.

Fontaines D.C. also offer hypnotic loops on their 2022 album Skinty Fia. The songs are defined by feelings of loss: of home, of love, of identity. A versatile, gripping album by a currently very successful Irish band.

Vinylrausch pays tribute to music albums as works of art and plays them loud as in a concert, in a dark movie theater, with an introduction and the lyrics on the screen.
