Der Königsforst im Klimawandel – Eine Mitmachwanderung
In the organizer's words:
Climate change—a global phenomenon—has now reached the Königsforst as well. Phenomena such as the die-off of spruce trees, as well as ancient deciduous trees, show us the urgency of changing course at all levels. On a 1.5–2-hour forest hike with forester and forest educator Martin Barth, we’ll learn interesting facts about the forest’s role as both a victim and part of the solution in the fight against climate change. As a CO₂ sink and reservoir, the forest is systemically important for the climate. But what will the forest of the future look like? A hands-on activity will also highlight the global connections of climate change. We’ll discuss what needs to change, what opportunities exist, and how each of us can contribute to that change.
