with Philipp Hochmair
Franz Kafka's novel of the century, The Trial, tells the story of a denial. On the morning of his 30th birthday, Joseph K. is accused by an imaginary court without ever finding out what he is accused of. He loses himself in affairs and distractions instead of following the call to think "more about himself" and concentrate on the essentials. But what are the essentials? Joseph K. loses himself in self-presentations and fantasy images instead of taking responsibility.
Philipp Hochmair's multi-award-winning solo evenings are an experience: the high-performance actor is always on fire, always giving his all - theater can hardly be experienced more intensely. From 2003 to 2009, Philipp Hochmair was a member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble, and since 2009 he has appeared at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and on many major stages. Engagements have taken him to the Staatstheater Hannover, the Hamburg and Zurich theaters, the Volksbühne and the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, among others. He became known to a wider audience through numerous film and television roles, including as the protagonist of the ORF/ARD series Vorstadtweiber, "Blind ermittelt", "Charité" and many more. He was awarded the ROMY 2022 and the Grimme Prize 2023 for "Wannsee Conference".
