"Der Rote Wedding" is the name of a workers' theater troupe from the 1920s and at the same time an expression of the history of workers and resistance in Wedding.
We are a group of people with different connections to Wedding and have set out in search of places that bear traces of resistance and can tell us something about the "red" history.
The result is a different kind of neighborhood walk: a motivated city guide leads the non-local audience through the streets of Wedding. But not all the characters from the past agree with her portrayal and would rather get the audience in the mood for the next demonstration. In the struggle and tug-of-war between times and opinions, the real questions come to light: What do the events of 100 years ago have to do with us today? Which struggles are still relevant? Are we at a similar point: inflation, war, crises and resistance? Or is everything completely different?
