DESINTERESSE

Desinteresseis a Dutch coldwave band consisting of Bart (bass), Joppe (drums), and Sem (vocals/synthesizer/guitar). The band was founded in late 2022 and initially released its music as a duo. In April 2023, they released their debut album “Voor Altijd,” followed in November 2023 by the EP “Ik Wil Dood Als Ik Het Vergeet,” both on cassette via their own label, Decadence. Since 2024, the band has been performing as a trio and, despite its short history, has already completed several European tours and shared the stage with Lebanon Hanover, Sad Lovers and Giants, She Past Away, and other prominent artists in the genre. In February 2026, they were invited to the Grauzone Festival for the second time, where they opened the main stage.

Their 7″ single “Grijze Dromen” (August 2024) generated significant interest in the scene in Europe and the U.S. and marked the beginning of their album cycle. Following their second single “Silhouet” and the accompanying music video, the Greek labelFabrika Recordssigned them for their next album, which was released in September 2025. Their second LP, “Picture,” will also be released on the same label in October. On the accompanying tour, the band will also make its first stop in Trier.

Desinteressedeliberately uses original vintage equipment as an artistic medium. Their live performances convey a cold, melancholic atmosphere—an uncompromising, melancholic sound with hypnotic rhythms and profound, Dutch lyrics. Anyone who loves the early albums by The Cure or Joy Division will love this evening.
