On January 13, 2026, an exhibition by Hossein Mousavifaraz and Reza Pourjafarian will open in Schalthaus 2.0 at the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site. The exhibition brings together two different works: a photo exhibition by Hossein Mousavifaraz and a video project by Reza Pourjafarian, which was realized in close collaboration with a dedicated team. Both works deal with the human encounter with the moment of separation, a moment in which loneliness becomes visible and at the same time opens up the possibility of resistance. The exhibition opening will take place on 13.01.2026 at 18:00 in Schalthaus 2.0, Schacht XII, UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein Gelsenkirchener Straße 181 / A26, 45309 Essen. A live performance with Gloria Carobini and Nikita Ilias is planned for 18.01.2026 at 17:00.

Opening hours: Wednesday (14.01.) to Friday (16.01.) from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday (17.01.) & Sunday (18.01.) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
