🌊 Ahoy, sleuths! Let the treasure hunt through Travemünde begin
A detective trail is like a scavenger hunt—only much better: Armed with a treasure map and your detective instincts, you’ll follow a secret route, solve tricky puzzles along the way, and collect the clues to crack the big treasure code.
On the Travemünde Detective Trail: By the Baltic Sea and the Trave River, Detective Dachs has prepared a special mission for you. Right where the Trave flows into the Baltic Sea, plenty of puzzles are waiting for you to crack them. So pull out your treasure map, keep your eyes peeled, and let’s go!
Your search for clues begins at the Travemünde Tourist Information Center. From there, Detective Dachs will lead you toward the water and on through the Baltic Sea resort. Sometimes you’ll have to look very closely, sometimes use your wits to piece things together, and sometimes the only way to solve a puzzle is by brainstorming together. Along the way, you’ll encounter seagulls, sailboats, and plenty of fresh sea air. You’ll also learn exciting facts about Travemünde, shipping, and the water levels in the Baltic Sea.
Best of all: you set the pace yourselves. That leaves time along the way to enjoy the view of the sea or take a little break from detective work. With every correct solution, your collection of clues grows until you can finally figure out the secret code.
Did you figure it out correctly? Then a real treasure chest awaits you at the finish line, and everyone gets to pick out a little surprise!
The Detective Trail is a varied outdoor adventure for families with children ages six and up, combining puzzle fun, physical activity, and discoveries along the Baltic Sea.
