Humanophones
Conductor: Rémi Leclerc
Encantada women's ensemble
Direction: Kristin Knautz
Own compositions by the Humanophones as well as songs by Sia, Billie Eilish, Clueso, Oliver Gies and others
In this concert, the Humanophones from France and the Encantada women's ensemble from Siegerland explore the role of people in our complex, challenging world.
With their unique style of merging voices, dance, body percussion, new soul and tribal hip-hop, the Humanophones translate the contradictions and discourses of our age, the Anthropocene, into organic grooves in their program. All the songs were composed by the band themselves and are performed using only their bodies and voices.
Encantada embarks on a search for orientation in these times of upheaval: How do we want to live? And how can we live? With powerful songs such as Billie Eilish's "What I Was Made For" or "Laut sein" by Oliver Gies, the singers encourage their listeners to raise their own voices in the midst of an often noisy world.
This concert will be broadcast live by BR-Klassik. Broadcast dates at: www.br-klassik.de.
