DK. DANDO + TIM ADIEU
Dk.dando makes everything from Leipzig. Somewhere between hip hop and songwriting. Consisting of D.K.denz (production & beats) and Ritter Dando (lyrics & voice), an evening with Dk.dando means a youthful journey through the last years of this East German metropolis. A bit of theatricality is never missing.

Tim Adieu, Leipzig singer, smoker and multi-talent, made his debut in 2022 with his single "Adieu" and has been leaving a trail of tears behind him in the new federal states ever since. His EP "Weine nur mein Herz" shows him in pop, ballad and disco. Melancholy is his strength, and he sings unironically about the grievances of our time. Despite his disappointments, he connects hearts through his melodies and comforts in loneliness.

The documentary "Hütten sind für alle da" takes us behind the torn facades of East Leipzig. Over a period of three years, filmmaker Birk Poßecker portrayed a district characterized by contrasts, authentic stories and personalities. Fragile snapshots accompanied by a trashy, romantic VHS vibe.
This documentary flickers with its blurred dividing lines between yesterday and today, highlighting the perpetual conflicts in trendy neighborhoods: Displacement, inequality and racism.
The whole is carried by the charm of its residents and the ruined beauty of East Leipzig. Whether it's autonomous squatters, lively senior citizens in the middle of a no-gun zone or the Persian carpet store - everyone is here somehow. And this documentary wants it to stay that way with every single frame.
