Die Abenteuer von Don Quijote und Sancho Panza

In the organizer's words:

Who doesn't know Don Quixote, the knight of the sad shape who bravely fights windmills, and his faithful servant Sancho Panza. Together they dream of having adventures, helping the weak and making the world a better place. It's just too bad that Don Quixote lives in a time when knights, giants* and evil wizards and sorceresses have long since ceased to exist.

So their journey is full of strange encounters and more than once our hero lies in the dust with his rusty armor, Sancho Panza counts his bruises and many a trick is played on them. But the good-hearted Don Quixote never loses sight of his dream.

Andreas Gruhn, director and artistic director of the Children's and Young People's Theater, brings Miguel de Cervantes' Spanish classic to the big stage at the Schauspielhaus am Hiltropwall. The novel is considered the most famous work of Spanish literature and the first modern novel ever written. In a new stage version, the chivalric novel comes to life for everyone ages 6 and up.
