The Cowboys consist of former band members and a founding member of the most successful German country band of all time - TRUCK STOP.

The Cowboys are - Rainer Bach, Uwe Lost, Dirk Schlag and Chris Kaufman as well as Florian Lost and Bo Heart

Rainer Bach founding member, songwriter and lead vocalist of Truck Stop , Uwe Lost veteran of Truck Stop on bass, accordion and lead vocals, Chris Kaufman and Dirk Schlag both former guitarists of Truck Stop.

Truck Stop was founded in Hamburg in 1973 and initially played English-language country, rock'n'roll and bluegrass. Rainer Bach was one of the key members of the original band. As early as 1978, Uwe Lost became a permanent member of the band and also played a decisive role in shaping the sound of Truck Stop.

1979 saw the breakthrough for Truck Stop - the switch from American songs to German-language country. The song "Take it easy altes Haus" came second in the German preliminary round of the 1979 Grand Prix Eurovision and Truck Stop became a regular on the ZDF hit parade. Their biggest hit "Der wilde, wilde Westen" was released in 1980 and reached number 1.

During Truck Stop's heyday,Rainer Bach was not only responsible for the compositions of the many big hits such as "Ich möchte so gern Dave Dudley hören", "Der Wilde Wilde Westen" or "Old Texas Town, die Westernstadt", but also shaped these hits with his lead voice.

Rainer Bach left the band in 1983 for professional reasons, but continued to influence the band's sound and delivered Truck Stop hits such as "Arizona, Arizona".

In 1999, Truck Stop recorded the song "Maschendrahtzaun" together with Stefan Raab and received four gold and one platinum award for over 1 million singles sold.

Uwe Lost created a Hamburg Truck Stop cult classic with "Große Haie, kleine Fische", which has been the theme song for the successful ARD cult series "Großstadtrevier" for over 30 years.
