The best Beethoven of all time

Just a few weeks after the Elbphilharmonie opened, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen gave its very first concert in the Great Hall in March 2017. Since then, the orchestra, celebrated worldwide for its vibrant sound, has been one of the venue's most popular permanent guests. This is also due to the sympathetic chief conductor Paavo Järvi, who has driven the orchestra to top performances with extraordinary interpretations for more than two decades. One of the absolute highlights of this collaboration is the recording of all nine symphonies by Ludwig van Beethoven. The response was overwhelming. With their "Bremen Beethoven", the Kammerphilharmonie won the Echo Klassik 2010 and was the first orchestra ever to be awarded the German Record Critics' Honorary Prize. The recordings were even voted the "best Beethoven of all time" by the international trade press. With the exuberant Fourth Symphony, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen now gives a taste of its outstanding Beethoven interpretation.
