Room installation and media station in Stuttgart City Hall
On the first floor of Stuttgart City Hall, the permanent installation "The Double Gap" commemorates those employees of the city administration who were persecuted, expelled or murdered during the Nazi era for political, anti-Semitic or racist reasons. The design comes from the Goldmannart design studio and creates a place where the long suppressed history becomes visible again.
A touching short film, a light installation with all the names of those persecuted and an interactive media table provide personal access to the fates of those affected. The project is based on a film by the StolperKunst team and was developed together with representatives from the local council, youth council and city administration.
The installation is a clear sign of remembrance - right in the heart of the city.
