Interpreted by the Vollplaybacktheater

Lip-synched and in an elaborate show, the Vollplaybacktheater interprets a popular episode of the cult radio play series about the three detectives from Rocky Beach.

Ludicrous punchlines, unerringly edited dialog and surprising quotes, plus limitlessly imaginative props and original costumes. A mixture that only a troupe can create: The VPT - the full playback theater. The absolutely unique selling point of this ensemble: lip-synched performance to playback from tape with the familiar voices of Oliver Rohrbeck, Jens Wawrczeck and Andreas Fröhlich.

A huge ruby, which is not only fabulously valuable but also highly dangerous due to a curse, is the object of desire of several parties who become entangled in a fast-paced chase. The three detectives are naturally right in the middle of it, always trying to help their client with the fascinating name August August to get his due. A grandiose show of homage to and parody of the original.
