Die drei Fragezeichen – Die Salztote

Nobody knows exactly why the so-called Salt Witch of the Salton Sea in California suddenly disappeared without a trace many years ago. Rumor has it that the woman, who once spread fear with voodoo rituals and mysterious "ghost salt", died in the lake. But now letters from the witch are turning up unexpectedly - and eerie apparitions are alarming the three ???. Together with their old friend Professor Barrister, the detectives set out to decipher the mysterious fate of the salt dead.

Spatial audio technology and impressive 360° projections
For the radio play version, the gruesome story has been enhanced with numerous acoustic details, sound effects and a dense soundscape. Modern 3D audio technology places voices, music and sound effects precisely in the room and creates the feeling of being right in the middle of the action. The Halle (Saale) Planetarium provides the ideal acoustic environment for this. There, the immersive audio play is accompanied by atmospheric, dark visualizations that were specially developed for the round dome.

Despite all the technology, the characteristic experience with Justus Jonas, Peter Shaw and Bob Andrews always takes center stage.

"Die drei ??? und die Salztote" was created in collaboration between EUROPA (Sony Music Entertainment Germany) and HO3RRAUM MEDIA and uses various spatial audio processes that enable almost realistic spatial sound reproduction. The radio play was written by Kai Schwind and is based on the novel of the same name by Kari Erlhoff and Christoph Dittert, published by KOSMOS Verlag.
