Sometimes the most unusual friendships develop where you least expect them. Between a human and a whale, for example. Between land and sea.
The little lighthouse keeper knows the sea like no other. But one day, a storm puts him in great danger: in dire need, he encounters a creature of overwhelming size and gentleness: a blue whale that rescues him. A friendship develops.
The next day, the little lighthouse keeper can hardly wait to see his new friend again. But he is nowhere to be found. The little lighthouse keeper searches and searches and finds him at the bottom of the sea. The huge sea creature seems weakened. What could have happened? Carefully and determinedly, he sets out to get to the bottom of the matter - and discovers how closely the fates of man and sea are interwoven. Did the whale mistake plastic bags for jellyfish?

The story of the whale and the sea tells a poetic, sensually tangible story about friendship, compassion and responsibility. The play provides children with emotional access to the topics of environmental protection and sustainability and leaves them amazed, moved and thought-provoking.
