Pre-Opening at thefotoarchive:

On July 4, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., we’ll be hosting a pop-up exhibition titled “The Faces of Care” by Thies P. Sprenger—a long-term photographic project about the people who keep daily care operations running.

Since 2018, Thies has been photographing and interviewing nursing professionals, trainees, managers, people in need of care, and those who have left the profession.

The portraits speak to responsibility, stress, intimacy, and dignity. They depict care not as an abstract system, but as a lived human reality—from person to person.

We are very excited to present this special project as the first pop-up exhibition at thefotoarchive.
