Die Kunst des Gambenspiels | Englische Barockhöhepunkte mit dem Phantasm Viol Consort
In the organizer's words:
Dubbed "the best viol ensemble in the world" by BR Klassik, Phantasm has been setting new standards through the intensity and technical perfection of its interpretations since its founding almost 30 years ago. This is also the case with the English repertoire for viol consort, whose sophisticated counterpoint is presented by the ensemble in the Konzerthaus Dortmund. Complex rhythms and daring harmonies in works by William Byrd and Henry Purcell, among others, finally lead to Baroque master Johann Sebastian Bach with the "Musical Offering" and the "Well-Tempered Clavier".
