DIE KUNST, VIELE ZU BLEIBEN

The focus of the two-day debate and performance program in Leipzig will be on attacks on art (freedom), good debates and resistant subcultures and perspectives. On stage at LOFFT, WESSER | MECKERT & Band's "WIR KRIEGEN EUCH ALLE!" will examine the so-called "baseball bat years" and at Residenz Schauspiel Leipzig, Lina Majdalanie and Rabih Mroué's SUNNY SUNDAY will explore the impact of nationalist hero myths using the example of recent events in Poland.

Mirna Funk reports on how a good culture of debate works from a Jewish perspective and how we can relearn productive, contradiction-resisting debate as a form of social coexistence. A position that both the networking initiative of the artists* of Kompliz* from Saxony in dialog with Eva Hartmann and Tanja Krone in her activating-activist workshop SCHÖN AUFMISCHEN! EINE ÜBUNG ZU ANREGENDEM WAHLKAMPF (An Exercise in Stimulating Electoral Struggle): Struggle as a performative-artistic and political strategy awakens civil resilience forces that seem urgently needed in view of Peter Laudenbach's report of over a hundred right-wing attacks on artistic freedom in his book "Volkstheater".

On the second day, the Radical Daughters offer a workshop designed to promote humanity, attitude, passion and self-motivated action. Ntando Cele opens up anti-discrimination perspectives, while the Polish theater Komuna Warszawa negotiates questions of (political) reason in a work and exchange space and further international perspectives become visible.

Admission to the daytime program is free, registration is required.

Persons who have registered for the daytime program will receive discounted tickets for the evening program. The admission wristband handed out at the registration desk on the day of the event serves as proof of discount at the entrance. As usual, tickets can be booked online via the ticket stores of the venues.
