Thibaut, a famous conductor, learns that he has leukemia and urgently needs a bone marrow donor. His mother confesses to him that he was adopted and has a brother who was adopted into a completely different world: a factory worker in the north of France who is fighting for his job. Despite the differences, their difficult encounter comes to a warm conclusion. Thibaut discovers that his brother is also a musician, albeit only in a village band. The film becomes a moving parable about reconciliation and cohesion in a socially divided society - and leaves us with a warm feeling. Director Emmanuel Courcol has created cinema of superlatives with this film: a story that overwhelms, touches and, above all, entertains on both a small and large scale, in both the private and political spheres. Benjamin Lavernhe (BIRNENKUCHEN MIT LAVENDEL) and Pierre Lottin (EIN TRIUMPH) are brilliant in this great cinematic tale of two men who become brothers and only then understand the world.
