Founded in 1993 as a school band, the ensemble has developed into a modern, versatile ensemble over the years. Students from a wide range of disciplines play here with passion, enthusiasm and musical sophistication - from classic swing and funky grooves to their own big band literature.

Yuniet Lombida Prieto & Evgenij Zelikman

Yuniet Lombida Prieto combines Latin American energy with a classic big band sound and has international stage experience as well as deep roots in jazz and improvisation.

Evgenij Zelikman is a pianist, composer, arranger and leader of his own big band projects active in Germany. He founded the big band orchestra 'Oumuamua in 2019, which is characterized by independent compositions and an open, creative jazz approach. His musical language combines classical influences with contemporary jazz elements and sensitive improvisation, making a decisive contribution to the artistic depth of the evening.

Together, Yuniet and Evgenij stand for an evening full of rhythm, precision, expression and unforgettable big band moments.
