"The Night of Leviathan" is a political and psychological chamber play. During a television interview that journalist Nadja Layndecker is conducting with Prime Minister Roman Grassla, shots are fired outside. Suddenly the doors are locked, contact with the editorial team is lost and their cell phones no longer work. They learn via television that a coup is taking place. The prime minister's life seems to be under threat. In this exceptional situation, their political differences escalate. They distrust each other. When Nadja Layndecker manages to establish a connection to the broadcaster, Roman Grassla calls on the people to take to the streets for democracy.
