The nice coquettes interpret the partly 100 years old chansons of among others Friedrich Hollaender and Georg Kreisler in their own way: modern, dynamic and surprising. The songs are about the longings of everyday life, about love and revenge, about schnapps and stone age people.
Charlotte Welling slips into all the roles the songs offer her. She is the wild, intense one, singing and playing with all means. Her temperament is unpredictable.
Valerie Barth is the noble and romantic one. Her dynamic piano playing and her clear as a bell voice
voice hit the heart. Goosebumps are guaranteed.
The nice coquettes create a fascinating closeness to the audience. Every concert is a
unique experience - with always new gags, improvisations and attacks.

Charlotte Welling is an actress and studied at the "Berliner Schule für Schauspiel". Among her
theater stations so far include: Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, Theater am Sachsenring Cologne,
Euro Theater Central and since 2018 Stadttheater Hagen. In addition to theater, she shoots for the WDR children's program "Wissen macht ah!". Chansons already played a major role during her acting training. There she discovered her passion for composers like Friedrich Holländer, Georg Kreisler and Kurt Weill. For her, chansons are the perfect fusion of acting and singing!

Valerie Barth is a pianist and singer. She received her training at the Hochschule für Musik und
Dance in Cologne. During her research for her bachelor and master thesis she developed the
enthusiasm for the chanson in the German cabaret of the Weimar Republic. Both pianistically and
singing, she has specialized in the musical subtleties that give each chanson its own special
chanson its very special note. She currently teaches singing at the Schauspielhaus
Düsseldorf.
