In his latest play, the author and director has adapted a fairy tale by Theodor Storm for DIE kleine BÜHNE Hannover. And that's what it's about:

For many weeks now, the countryside has been suffering from a hot summer and people and animals alike are suffering from the lack of rain. Only mother Stine and her son Andrees make sure that nobody has to go thirsty. They own the only well in the village and carefully share the water with everyone.

But the rich meadow farmer and his farm want to take it away from them so they can sell the water to the locals.

In an argument about this proposal, Stine warns the meadow farmer that his luck could soon run out if someone wakes the rain dove and ends the drought.

Because the meadow farmer thinks this is just a pipe dream, he offers a deal: If someone manages to end the mysterious woman's sleep within a day, he will let Stine keep her farm and will no longer come between his daughter Maren and Stine's son Andrees, who love each other dearly.

Maren herself, of all people, agrees to the deal in order to end the plight of the population. However, not only does she need the secret spell to end the sleep of the raindrops, she also has to find the right way.

But only the Rain Fairy's greatest adversary knows both: the Fire Man! And he will do anything to stop the brave young woman...
