About the movie:
"The Voice of Hind Rajab" is an extraordinary work by director Kaouther Ben
Hania. The award-winning docudrama tells the true story of six-year-old Hind
Rajab, who was trapped in a shot-up car during the conflict in Gaza in January 2024.

What is special about this film is that Hind herself is not shown. Instead, we hear her
real emergency call recording to the Palestinian Red Crescent. The film consists
largely consists of this telephone conversation in which the child desperately calls for help,
while rescue workers try to reach her. This artistic decision
makes the work a haunting but respectful act of remembrance.
Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania uses the telephone recordings to make Hinds' voice audible to us all.

Why this event?
At a time when news often seems abstract, this film provides an immediate,
human perspective. It invites us to listen - and to think about what it means to
what it means to live in a world where such distress calls are possible.
Ben Hania says: "... perhaps it (the film) can play a small part in challenging the
