Lütfiye Güzel's texts are short and clear, pointed and surprising. They make razor-sharp observations and notice details that remain hidden to the naked eye in our hectic everyday lives. Are they radical? If it is radical to sit still and observe, if it is radical to hold on to what you observe, to turn it left and right, to question it, to try to grasp it - then yes, they are radical. On this evening, the award-winning author will read from old and new texts and talk about them and self-publishing with Iuditha Balint and the audience. Over chai and with tenderness.

Lütfiye Güzel, born in Duisburg in 1972, is a poet and has been publishing poems under her own label go-güzel-publishing since 2014. She was awarded the Ruhr Literature Prize in 2017. Since October 2023, she has published a solitary column for Interkultur Ruhr under the title "süperdepresyon". Her last chapbook "wem gehören die tauben?" was published in 2025, her new book "Lütfiyeah" will be published in February.
