"The lost honor of Katharina Blum"
tells the story of a young woman whose life is turned upside down by rumors, media agitation and social prejudice. After a single night, Katharina is targeted by the press and the police. She has to fight for her dignity and her truth in a society that is quicker to judge than to listen. The play raises urgent questions about the responsibility of the media, the abuse of power and the boundary between public interest and personal freedom.
Based on a story by Heinrich Böll, in the stage version by John von Düffel,
adapted by the theater group Vierte Wand e.V.
Trigger warning: gunshot sounds, thematization of sexualized violence, strong language.
