Once a month, the Peterknecht bookshop and Weinmanufaktur Erfurt invite you to an intellectual and literary evening on the Petersberg. The Thuringian Vinarium is located in the historic gun emplacement on the Petersberg, which provides the perfect and atmospheric setting for these special readings, and you can look forward to an exciting evening, fine wines and lively conversation in an extraordinary atmosphere!
In February 2026, Erfurt-based author Mark Hauswald will be our guest with his Thuringian Forest crime novels "Das Wandern ist des Mörders Lust" and "Im Frühtau vom Berge wir fallen, fallera". Having grown up in the Thuringian Forest and living in Erfurt, Mark Hauswald combines his experiences and his love of nature to create humorous regional crime novels. City dwellers and mountain folk are let loose on each other in a loving and tongue-in-cheek manner. A homage to his homeland, where neither bratwurst nor dumplings are missing.
