This year, visitors will literally be on fire for the world's largest pumpkin exhibition in the Blühenden Barock. Artful pumpkin figures around the theme of "fire" will be lovingly designed and staged. Fred Flintstone, the Pokémon Glumanda and Fireman Sam, but of course also Jim Knopf with his steam engine will be found in the Blühende Barock and will certainly become a popular photo motif. A total of 450,000 pumpkins will be staged and more than 600 varieties of the popular autumn fruits, such as colorful ornamental pumpkins or bright carving pumpkins, are just waiting to be discovered.
The popular entertainment program kicks off with the fun-filled World of Pumpkin Gnomes from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3. Daredevil canoeists will once again plunge into the waters of Südgarten Lake in hollowed-out giant pumpkins on Sept. 16-17. Germany's largest pumpkin soup will be prepared for a good cause on 23/24 September.
It will be exciting at the German championships in pumpkin weighing on 01.10. and certainly at the European championship on 08.10. - Will the world record weight of 1226 kg be exceeded?
At the giant pumpkin carving festival on 15.10. international stars take up the knife. Pumpkin carving for all is then on 21./22.10. and on Halloween weekend from 28. to 31.10. From 28.10. the exhibition is extended into the evening hours and entertains with illuminated pumpkin artworks from scary to funny. You can buy seeds and become a grower yourself at the giant winning pumpkins slaughter on 11/26.
