He does it again. And as always with love! Lots and lots of love!
Dieter Thomas Kuhn, the most famous hairdryer wave in the good mood world, will be performing open-air with his band this summer. Schlager at its finest. Schlager to celebrate. A glorious dozen concerts are on the program. At impressive venues all over Germany. Whether at the Tollwood. Under the viaduct. At the lido or on Lake Constance. The obligatory Waldbühne? Not missing either, of course! Where, if
not here, concerts become parties. A joyful journey back in time to carefree days. A festival of love.
It pays to be quick again. Tickets for the previous tour sold out quickly. More than 75,000 fans wanted to be part of the Dieter of Hearts.
Kuhn is cult. A pop phenomenon with flared trousers, glittery suit and chest hair toupee. And it was the summer of 1992 when the band played in public for the first time at a small village festival in Italy. The charm of the carefree fun project from back then has remained to this day. "Nothing was planned in any way. Neither the success nor the character
itself. It was suddenly there and grew from the gut to what it is now," the cover artist looks back. At his side, as always, is Philipp Feldtkeller. Best friend since school days and creative head of the band. "Our concerts should be a good party for everyone," emphasizes the guitarist. "Strangers or friends?", the answer to Howard Carpendale's existentialist pop question at Kuhn concerts is traditionally: "Ti amo!". The cover versions of hits such as "Über den Wolken", "Sag mir Quando", "Wunder gibt es immer wieder" and "Eine neue Liebe ist wie ein neues Leben" resound with love, lust and passion.
The former catchy tunes by Peter Alexander, Roy Black, Peter Maffay, Costa Cordalis and Co. are spiced up in a fast-paced way. Served with playful self-irony. With infectious cheerfulness that creates a unique concert atmosphere. Lyrically confident, the
singing fans in their brightly colored retro suits immerse themselves in the world of hits. Sometimes they take over the singing all by themselves. Or form an arch with their arms, under which DTK walks through the audience. As always, some fans come on stage. They are very close to the star. And are always applauded by everyone. Kuhn concerts offer a very special kind of community experience. With the
irresistible offer to immerse yourself in another world together. Into a musical universe of feelings. Where emotions are celebrated together. Where thoughtful ballads stand side by side with light-hearted swing songs. Where there is love with and without suffering. Where singing is a blessing for the soul and creates a collective sense of well-being. Or is simply fun. Singing intelligence as an answer to
AI and everyday worries. The stage show traditionally includes a production with visual surprises. With great attention to detail and lots of tinsel, just like in the old days. Or as Dieter Thomas Kuhn says: "For many fans, the annual Kuhn concert has become as much a part of life as Nutella for breakfast - you just can't do without it!".
simply not possible!".
Over the years, a total of five successful chart albums have been released, but one thing is clear: no matter when, no matter how, no matter where - when Dieter Thomas Kuhn is on stage with his "Kapelle", something incredibly magical happens and love floods through everyone who is there. Hossa!
