The planet is warming, forests are burning, the end seems ever-present—yet we are not the first to face extinction. KHWOSHCH explores the ultimate catastrophe of prehistory and tells the tragic story of the dinosaurs. On a miniature Baroque stage, a spectacle unfolds that combines operatic pathos with the playfulness of Czech puppet theater and the poetry of the absurd.

Monument meets miniature: DIY charm, homemade ammonite instruments, Baroque splendor with punk-inspired elements. Accompanied by piano, violin, and a loop machine; the libretto is in Czech, German, English, Russian, and Ukrainian.

World premiere in 2022 in Prague, awarded the Fritz Wortelmann Honorary Prize and recognized at the Prelet Festival as one of the best Czech plays of 2022. A monumental drama—in miniature.
