Peter Trabner deals with the mythological figure of Dionysus. After "The Death of Empedocles" and "The Life of Diogenes", this is the third play in his
play in his "Environmental Theater" series, in which Trabner uses ancient Greek philosophers as a starting point to examine his role as an actor in the context of the challenges of the present day. The demigod Dionysus stands like no other for total devotion to life. The stage character Peter Trabner also wants more: more pleasure, more possessions, more ecstasy, to become more natural. But then he is gripped by fear. Do enthusiasm, passion, play and devotion ultimately lead to a loss of control? And is it not this loss of security that can intensify fears and lead to isolation? - Award-winning film, TV and theater actor Peter Trabner is a primal force on stage and an incredible talent for improvisation. His brilliant one-man shows are rousing, funny, clever and bursting with spontaneity.
